MicroStrategy IncorporatedNew framework includes $2B buyback programs and dividend increase, aiming to bolster market confidence.

Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, announced a new framework for managing its bitcoin holdings, moving beyond its long-standing buy-only approach. The board authorized selling up to $1.25 billion in bitcoin under specified conditions to fund a cash reserve, dividends, and buybacks, while also approving $2 billion in potential buyback programs for its preferred STRC and common stock. The company raised its STRC dividend to 12% from 11.5% and established a floor policy of maintaining at least 12 months of runway to cover dividends and interest, backed by $2.55 billion in USD reserves. The shift aims to bolster market confidence in the firm's capital structure amid pressure on its shares.
