HUTCHMED China LtdHUTCHMED's savolitinib in combination with TAGRISSO showed significant survival benefit in Phase III trial.
AstraZeneca and HUTCHMED announced that the SAFFRON Phase III trial showed TAGRISSO plus savolitinib significantly improved progression-free survival and overall survival versus platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer with high MET overexpression or amplification after progression on TAGRISSO. The trial enrolled 338 patients across 230 centers in 29 countries, and the safety profile was consistent with the known profiles of each medicine with no new safety findings. The combination is already approved in China based on the SACHI Phase III trial, and these results will be presented at a forthcoming medical meeting and shared with global regulatory authorities.
