Teva Pharma Industries Ltd ADRBranded drug sales surged 41% with strong prescription growth

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries is accelerating its shift from generics to branded drugs, with first-quarter 2026 sales of its three key innovative medicines—Austedo, Ajovy, and Uzedy—rising 41% year over year to $838 million. Global Austedo sales climbed 41% to $578 million, driven by strong prescription growth and the launch of a once-daily formulation, while Ajovy revenue increased 35% in constant currency to $196 million and Uzedy sales jumped 62% to $63 million. The company expects Austedo to exceed $2.5 billion in annual revenue by 2027 and $3 billion by 2030, and it projects total branded product revenues of more than $5 billion by 2030. Teva also closed its acquisition of Emalex and its Tourette syndrome therapy ecopipam in June, and it has filed for FDA approval of the drug. Branded medicines now account for more than 20% of Teva's revenue, up from about 9% in 2022.
