Summary · why it matters

Kana announced that TIME has deployed two of its agentic marketing applications across the media brand's advertising and sales organizations. TIME's ad operations team is using Kana's Campaign Orchestrator to continuously monitor delivery, pacing and performance across every live campaign, catching under-delivery risk before it becomes a make-good, while its sales organization has rolled out Kana's Media Proposal Generator fleet-wide, automating the translation of inbound RFPs into fully structured, inventory-aware proposals and cutting a process that formerly took days down to minutes. Both applications operate inside guardrails TIME's teams control directly, including budget limits, brand and pricing guidance, and approval thresholds that determine when an agent acts autonomously versus when it escalates to a human for sign-off. Mark Howard, Chief Operating Officer at TIME, said the publisher is proving out what agentic media looks like by augmenting and accelerating its core business processes, and Melanie Ruderman, SVP, Strategy & Sales Enablement at TIME, said the RFP transformation has streamlined operations and collapsed complexity. Kana was founded in 2025 by Tom Chavez and Vivek Vaidya, the team behind Krux, Rapt and Habu, and is backed by Mayfield.

Expedia partners with Meta's Muse to enable direct trip booking

Expedia announced a partnership with Meta's personal AI agent Muse that will let travelers plan and book trips, hotels, and flights directly through the agent. In a post on X, Expedia said, "We're joining with Muse: tell it where you're headed, and it can work with Expedia to sort your hotels and everything in between." The online travel agent did not specify when Muse will be available for use on the Expedia platform. Muse is also partnering with PayPal, allowing customers to shop and book travel through the Muse agent. The announcement helped bolster Expedia shares, which had been beaten down earlier in the session as investors weighed the potential threat posed by the Muse app, which topped Apple's App Store download rankings; Expedia, Booking Holdings, and Airbnb all came under pressure Tuesday as investors assessed the potential impact of Muse's ability to bypass traditional OTAs.

Meta's Muse AI Agent Partners With Shopify to Enable Purchases

Meta Platforms' new AI agent Muse is teaming up with Shopify to help and enable consumers to complete online purchases, a partnership that lifted Shopify's stock. The deal allows Meta's personal AI agent Muse to complete purchases on behalf of users, according to a report in the Journal. Yahoo Finance Tech Editor Dan Howley, who tested Muse himself, said the agent walked through the full buying process for a video game on Nintendo.com, though he noted it takes infinitely longer than purchasing directly. Amazon said absolutely not and cut off Muse, as it has other AI agents before, because shoppers on its site often make impulse purchases they would not make through an agent. Howley said the partnership is great and grand for Shopify, and for investors it is proof that Meta's strategy appears to be starting to pay off, with ads, subscriptions and the Meta One service as potential revenue paths.
