President Donald Trump said Ukraine will be allowed to license technology to produce Patriot missile interceptors during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday. Trump stated, "We're going to be giving a license to you," adding that the U.S. will show Ukraine how to produce the interceptors and that he believes Ukraine can produce them quickly due to their weapons production capability. Zelenskyy called the move a "great idea," stressing Ukraine's urgent need for the equipment. Patriot missile interceptors are currently manufactured by U.S.-based RTX and Lockheed Martin and have faced supply shortages amid conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
