US President Donald Trump told the United Nations General Assembly, or UNGA, that the United States has ended the war in the Gaza Strip and saved tens of thousands of lives. Trump said that when he addressed UNGA last year, the war in Gaza was still raging, hostages remained deep in Hamas tunnels, and there was no sign it would end. But a few weeks later, the United States ended that war. Trump also said the United States brought home all the remaining hostages, both the living and the dead, everyone without exception, remarks that drew applause from those attending the session.
