Upwork IncSecured $150M credit facility to support working capital, acquisitions, and debt repayment.

Upwork Inc. entered into a new secured revolving credit facility of up to US$150.0 million, expandable by an additional US$50.0 million, maturing on June 23, 2029, to support working capital, potential acquisitions, and repayment of existing convertible debt. The company also launched the Upwork Claude Connector inside Anthropic's Claude, embedding its 18 million–strong talent marketplace directly into a leading AI assistant. The new credit facility modestly strengthens balance sheet flexibility but does not directly change near-term demand risk around slow client acquisition and enterprise volatility. The Claude Connector launch, together with earlier ChatGPT and Uma releases, could reignite top-of-funnel activity and mitigate the risk that generative AI replaces rather than routes work through Upwork. Upwork's narrative projects $1.1 billion revenue and $205.0 million earnings by 2029, requiring 10.8% yearly revenue growth and an $89.6 million earnings increase from $115.4 million today.
