USA Rare Earth shares surged 81.3% in the first half of 2026, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. The rally was fueled by a partnership with the French government to build a metal and alloy production facility, progress on its Round Top Rare Earth Project in Texas including a Definitive Feasibility Study with Fluor, and about $1.6 billion in federal funding from the U.S. Departments of Commerce and Energy alongside $1.5 billion in private funding from Inflection Point. Analysts at Roth Capital and Benchmark raised price targets to $35 and $45 respectively in January. In April, the company announced its subsidiary produced commercial-grade yttrium in the United Kingdom and agreed to acquire Serra Verde Group for approximately $2.8 billion, a deal expected to bring annualized run-rate EBITDA of $550 million to $650 million by the end of 2027.
