Shandong Zhongji Electrical Equipment Co LtdZhongji Innolight's successful $6.8B Hong Kong IPO provides capital for R&D and overseas expansion.

Chinese optical communication components giant Zhongji Innolight has raised a total of 53.41 billion Hong Kong dollars, or 6.81 billion US dollars, in its initial public offering on the Hong Kong market. The offer price was 980 Hong Kong dollars per share, below the top end of the indicative range of 1,010 Hong Kong dollars. It sold 54.5 million H shares and will list on the 30th. This is the second-largest IPO in Asia this year, following the roughly 8.6 billion US dollar Shanghai listing by Chinese memory semiconductor giant ChangXin Memory Technologies. The proceeds will be used to strengthen research and development and expand overseas production capacity.
