Korea Zinc Company, Ltd. is a general non-ferrous metal smelting company based in South Korea. It produces zinc slab ingots, alloy jumbo blocks, anode ingots, die cast ingots, lead and lead alloy ingots, and copper cathodes. It also supplies gold, silver, rare metals such as indium, bismuth, and antimony, as well as sulfuric acid, semi sulfuric acid, and oleum. The company is involved in non-ferrous metals import and export, recycling, wholesale and product brokerage, logistics warehousing, shipping, construction equipment operation, waste lubricant refining, electricity, gas and steam supply, concentrate export, and logistics. Additionally, it offers private equity fund services, media content production, electrolytic copper foil for secondary batteries, and electronic waste collection, dismantling, shredding, and processing. Incorporated in 1974, it is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

Korea Zinc reports higher second-quarter net income

Korea Zinc reported higher net income in the second quarter compared with the previous year. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company increased to KRW 348.60 billion from KRW 331.07 billion. Operating income jumped to KRW 587.11 billion from KRW 258.89 billion, while sales rose to KRW 6.37 trillion from KRW 3.83 trillion. The company's shares closed 4.89% higher at KRW 1,095,000 on the Korean Stock Exchange.
