Kyungdong Pharmaceutical and Asimov have completed a cell line development campaign for a biosimilar antibody candidate. Kyungdong secured a high-performing production cell line using Asimov's CHO Edge System, which combines a GS knock-out CHO host, a hyperactive transposase, a genetic parts library, and the AI-driven genetic design software Kernel. The resulting cell line achieved a high titer, supporting downstream process development and future commercialization. Kyungdong CEO Ryu Gi-sung expressed satisfaction with the collaboration as the company expands its biopharmaceutical business.
