Hyundai Rotem Company manufactures and sells railway vehicles, defense systems, and plant and machinery in South Korea and internationally. Its railway solutions include high-speed trains, regional and intercity trains, commuter trains and metros, trams and LRVs, locomotives, and passenger cars, as well as power mechanical, inspection, and system engineering; operation and maintenance; signaling; and hydrogen mobility services. The company also offers defense solutions such as tanks, wheeled armored vehicles, and future weapon systems. In addition, it provides logistics automation systems, automotive conveyor systems, port AGVs, boarding bridges and cargo handling systems, hydrogen infrastructure solutions, press equipment including servo, mechanical, and stamping presses, and steel plant equipment such as blast furnaces, cranes, and iron making, steel making, rolling mill, and environmental and supplementary facilities. Founded in 1977, Hyundai Rotem Company is headquartered in Uiwang-si, South Korea.

Hyundai Rotem Q2 Net Income Falls to KRW 185.29 Billion

Hyundai Rotem reported a decline in second-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company, which fell to KRW 185.29 billion from KRW 201.37 billion a year earlier. Operating income rose to KRW 232.38 billion from KRW 224.20 billion, while sales increased to KRW 1.61 trillion from KRW 1.46 trillion. Shares of the South Korean heavy industry manufacturer dropped 4.32% to KRW 159,300 on the Korean Stock Exchange following the announcement.
