TeamViewer launches Tia Troubleshooting for governed AI action
TeamViewer has introduced Tia Troubleshooting, a major expansion of its AI agent Tia that moves it from advising IT experts to taking action during remote support sessions, now generally available across TeamViewer's remote support portfolio including TeamViewer ONE, Tensor, and SMB licenses. Tia can investigate an issue, identify its root cause, apply a fix once the IT expert approves it, and validate that the problem is resolved, transforming the IT expert's role into a supervisory one. The system records every action and integrates with Session Insights, giving organizations a comprehensive view across all support sessions, while administrators can control how much autonomy Tia has for different teams. TeamViewer's research shows that among the 39% of respondents open to letting AI act, most prefer a review-and-approve model, and IT leaders expect nearly 40% of digital workplace services to operate without manual input by 2030. Mei Dent, Chief Product and Technology Officer at TeamViewer, said the feature offers governed autonomy, balancing AI involvement with human oversight as trust develops.
