Kesko Oyj operates retail chains in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, and Poland. It has three divisions: Grocery Trade, Building and Technical Trade, and Car Trade. The Grocery Trade division handles wholesale and B2B grocery trade, retail of home and specialty goods under the K-retailer brand, online grocery services, foodservice, and store chains such as K-Citymarket, K-Supermarket, K-Market, and Kespro. The Building and Technical Trade division covers wholesale, retail, and B2B trade of building and home improvement products, HEPAC and electrical products, and operates chains including K-Rauta, K-Bygg, Byggmakker, and Davidsen, as well as serving technical trade customers under the Onninen brand. The Car Trade division imports, markets, and retails Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Bentley, and Porsche passenger cars, and Volkswagen commercial vehicles under the K-Auto brand, along with used car sales, leasing, repair and maintenance, spare parts, the K-Lataus EV charging network, and sports retail through Intersport and budget sport chains. Kesko Oyj was founded in 1940 and is headquartered in Helsinki, Finland.

Kesko July sales rise 5.9% to €1.11bn

Finnish retail group Kesko reported July 2026 sales of €1.11 billion, up 5.9% year-on-year, or 5.4% in comparable terms, with increases across its grocery, building and technical, and car trade divisions. Grocery trade sales rose 3.9% to €584.6 million, building and technical trade sales increased 7.4% to €398.8 million, and car trade sales climbed 10.5% to €133.7 million. In Finland, sales grew 5.5% to €896 million, while sales in other countries rose 7.5% to €218.4 million. For January to July 2026, group sales reached €7.67 billion, up 6.5%, or 4.7% in comparable terms. Kesko president and CEO Jorma Rauhala noted sales grew in all three divisions.

Kesko reports 7.9% sales rise in June to €1.17 billion

Finnish retail group Kesko reported June 2026 sales of €1.17 billion, a 7.9% increase year-on-year. Domestic sales reached €868.8 million, up 5.3%, while sales outside Finland totalled €305.1 million, rising 16.1%. The grocery trade division posted sales of €557 million, up 4.3%, and the building and technical trade division generated €502.4 million, up 13.7%. The car trade division reported sales of €117.1 million, up 3.1%. For the first half of the year, group sales reached €6.56 billion, up 6.7%.
