It operates in two segments: Shared R&D and Evotec Biologics. The company develops pharmaceutical products across therapeutic areas such as oncology, autoimmune diseases, cancer, diabetes, heart failure, immunology, pain and inflammation, infectious diseases, kidney, liver, respiratory, fibrotic and metabolic diseases, and rare diseases. It also works on central nervous system (CNS) and cardiometabolic diseases, as well as animal and women's health. Evotec has collaboration agreements with Mass General Brigham and Joslin Diabetes Center on cardiometabolic diseases; BMS antiviral; Novo Nordisk cell therapy; University of Oxford; German Cancer Research Center; University Hospital in Hamburg; University of Toronto, Harvard, and Yale; Johns Hopkins University; Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR); and National University of Singapore. It also has partnerships with LAB282, LAB150, beLAB2122, beLAB1407, LAB eN², Danube Labs, VC Amplitude Ventures, LaB eN2, and 65LAB. The company serves pharma and biotechnology companies, academic institutions, patient advocacy groups, and venture capital. Evotec SE has a strategic collaboration with Almirall, S.A. for the development of novel therapeutics for severe skin diseases, including a range of immune-mediated inflammatory conditions. It collaborates with Odyssey Therapeutics, Inc. to design and develop an AI-based discovery platform to discover new treatments in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company was formerly known as Evotec AG and changed its name to Evotec SE in April 2019. Evotec SE was incorporated in 1993 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

Evotec Biologics Starts Phase 1 Trial for Orthopoxvirus Antibodies

Evotec SE announced the initiation of a Phase 1 clinical trial for JST-018, a cocktail of investigational monoclonal antibodies targeting orthopoxviruses, developed by its biologics CDMO subsidiary Just – Evotec Biologics under the U.S. Department of War's Accelerated Antibodies Program. The program advanced from antibody sequence selection through preclinical development, process development, regulatory submission, and cGMP manufacture, with manufacturing completed at the J.POD® facility in Redmond, Washington. This milestone fulfills the scope of a 2023 contract with the U.S. Department of War, which is the second such award under the Accelerated Antibodies Program, following an initial 2022 award for plague antibodies; together, the two contracts have a combined potential value of up to $123.9 million. JST-018 is being developed as a prophylactic therapy to protect warfighters from orthopoxvirus threats, which include smallpox and mpox viruses.

Odyssey Therapeutics Reports Wider Net Loss and Evotec Deal

Odyssey Therapeutics reported a second quarter 2026 net loss of US$52.79 million, widening from US$41.24 million a year earlier, while basic and diluted loss per share from continuing operations was US$1.74 compared with US$29.54 in the prior year. For the first six months of 2026, the net loss reached US$91.05 million versus US$79.67 million in the same period of 2025, with loss per share of US$5.05 against US$67.11 a year earlier.
