Its services include architecture and urbanism, asset management, business advisory, contract and cost management, and design and engineering for infrastructure such as highways, railways, bridges, tunnels, and utilities, as well as digital environmental health, safety, and sustainability solutions. The company was formerly known as Heidemij NV and changed its name to Arcadis N.V. in October 1997; it was founded in 1888 and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

FCM Travel secures landmark 10-year global partnership with Arcadis

FCM Travel has re-signed global design and consultancy organisation Arcadis to an industry-defining 10-year contract. The agreement consolidates Arcadis's travel, FCM Meetings & Events, and FCM Consulting services under a single partnership, advancing strategic planning and programme value. Arcadis has been an FCM customer for three years and travels to over 25 countries worldwide. The long-term commitment allows implementation of a strategic innovation plan beyond standard three-year cycles, with FCM providing predictive analytics, global standardisation, and integrated meetings, events, and consulting. Stripe in talks to acquire AI startup OpenRouter for about $10 billion

Payments firm Stripe is in discussions to acquire the AI startup OpenRouter for about $10 billion, headlining a busy week of dealmaking across multiple sectors. IBM intends to acquire quantum-focused research and development institution HRL Laboratories to aid its quantum computing efforts. Brookfield Asset Management agreed to buy battery storage developer Aypa Power for $7 billion including debt, and separately partnered with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to acquire LXP Industrial Trust in an all-cash transaction valued at about $5.2 billion including net debt and preferred equity. TE Connectivity announced it is acquiring privately held Astrodyne TDI in a $1.4 billion deal, while Repligen and BioLife Solutions entered into a definitive agreement under which Repligen will acquire BioLife for a total enterprise value of about $1.5 billion, comprised of 64% in Repligen common stock and 36% in cash. Magnolia Oil & Gas agreed to acquire closely held WildFire Energy for $4.06 billion in cash and stock including debt, and raised its quarterly dividend 9% to $0.18 per share. Var Energi agreed to acquire European rival BlueNord in a cash and stock deal valued at about $1.3 billion, creating Europe's largest independent oil and gas producer, while Arcadis rose 12% in Amsterdam trading after a report that the Dutch engineering consultancy received takeover interest from bidders including Canadian peer WSP Global.

WSP submits improved EUR 51.50 per share non-binding offer to acquire Arcadis

WSP Global has submitted a revised non-binding indicative proposal to acquire all outstanding shares of Arcadis N.V. for EUR 51.50 per share, representing a 45.8% premium over Arcadis' unaffected closing price on July 22. The offer, which follows a rejected initial bid of EUR 48.50 per share on July 1, would be approximately half cash and half WSP shares, with Arcadis shareholders able to elect their preferred consideration. WSP expects the combination to be high single-digit percentage accretive before synergies and mid-teens percentage accretive once synergies are realized, and it highlights complementary geographic and capability benefits. The proposal is not contingent on financing, and WSP has invited Arcadis' boards to engage in discussions toward a friendly recommended transaction.
