Nextensa posts strong H1 results on successful transactions

Nextensa reported strong half-year results for 2026, supported by several successful transactions including the sale of Gewerbepark Stadlau in Vienna, the forward sale of The Rock, and the sale of B&B Hotels in Cloche d'Or. Net profit attributable to the group was €16.6 million, or €1.68 per dividend-entitled share, compared with €19.9 million a year earlier. Net financial debt fell to €550.3 million at the end of Q2 2026 from €592.8 million at the end of 2025, while the average financing cost declined from 2.90% to 2.65%. The company also highlighted planning and environmental permits for Lake Side in Brussels and a substantial residential reservation by Vicinity at Bel Towers, with further milestones after the half-year including the sale of the Stairs office building and the European Investment Bank Group's selection of Treemont.

EIB Group signs long-term deal for Nextensa’s Treemont office project in Brussels

Nextensa has concluded a long-term usufruct agreement with the European Investment Bank Group for the entirety of its Treemont office project in Brussels. The EIB Group will relocate its Brussels premises to Rue Montoyer in the Leopold District, with the move planned for the second quarter of 2028. Nextensa will redevelop the site by demolishing part of the existing building and constructing a new high-end timber office building offering approximately 3,000 square meters of space across seven floors, after obtaining the urban planning permit in early June. The project aims for BREEAM design Excellent certification and full alignment with EU Taxonomy criteria through energy-efficient systems, timber construction, fossil-free heating and cooling, solar panels, a green roof, and smart water recovery.
