China Petrochemical Development Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, produces and sells petroleum, alkali-chlorine, phosphoric acid, and other petrochemical products and by-products in Taiwan, the rest of Asia, and internationally. It also provides caprolactam for nylon-6 fibers and resin, acrylonitrile for acrylic fibers and ABS plastic, nylon chips (fiber and engineering plastic grades) and film, ammonium sulfate fertilizer, hydrogen cyanide for MMA production, and refined sulfuric acid, as well as O-Phenylphenol. In addition, the company engages in real estate investment and development, technical advisory, petrochemical facility construction, engineering and construction contracting, biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and marketing, building materials wholesale, fertilizer storage and marketing, trading of petrochemicals and industrial gases, water treatment and installation services, refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, tank car repair, mechanical engineering services, housing and commercial building construction, plant rental, land development and playground management, and storage and sale of chemicals. The company was incorporated in 1969 and is headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
