Lai'er Technology plans to raise up to 1.17 billion yuan to expand new energy battery current collector capacity

Lai'er Technology has released its 2026 plan for a private placement of shares to specific investors, aiming to raise a total of no more than 1.17 billion yuan. The funds will be used for an annual production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of new energy coated carbon foil, an annual production capacity of 36,000 tonnes of functional specialty coated foil, a functional coating material innovation technology centre, a digital platform construction project, and to supplement working capital. The 60,000-tonne new energy coated carbon foil project has a total investment of 734 million yuan, with 422 million yuan to come from the raised funds. It will be implemented by the holding subsidiary Henan Lai'er over a 60-month construction period. The 36,000-tonne functional specialty coated foil project has a total investment of 440 million yuan, with 297 million yuan from the raised funds. It will be implemented by the holding subsidiary Sichuan Lai'er over a 24-month construction period. The functional coating material innovation technology centre and the digital platform project will each use 50 million yuan from the raised funds. Another 350 million yuan will be used to supplement working capital. The number of investors in this issuance will not exceed 35. The issue price will be no lower than 80 percent of the average stock trading price over the 20 trading days before the pricing reference date. The number of shares issued will not exceed 30 percent of the company's total share capital before the issuance, which is no more than 48,329,340 shares. All investors will subscribe in cash, and the shares will be subject to a six-month lock-up period from the end of the issuance. The company stated that this issuance aims to expand production capacity for new energy battery current collectors. This business achieved operating revenue of 558 million yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 507.89 percent, and existing capacity is approaching saturation.
