Sakata Seed Corporation

Sakata Seed Corporation produces and sells vegetable and flower seeds, bulbs, plants, and agricultural and horticultural supplies across Japan, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and other international markets. It is also involved in publishing gardening literature, plant breeding, research and development, technical consulting for contracted seed production, and the design, management, and contract construction of landscaping, greenhouse, and horticultural facilities. Formerly known as T. Sakata & Company, it changed its name to Sakata Seed Corporation in January 1986. Founded in 1913, the company is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan.
