Sinovac Biotech's Infliximab Biosimilar Approved for Launch in Thailand

The infliximab biosimilar Leiting, introduced by Sinovac Biotech from Mabtech, has recently been approved for marketing by the Thai Food and Drug Administration. The product has previously gained market access in Peru, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and several other countries and regions. Leiting was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration in 2021, becoming the first infliximab biosimilar approved for marketing in China. In 2025, it ranked second in market share among similar products across China's three major terminals and six major markets. Thailand is the second-largest pharmaceutical market in ASEAN, with an overall market size of approximately 9.6 billion US dollars in 2025. Biologics and biosimilars are among the fastest-growing segments.
