JDI Resolves Negative Net Worth, Net Assets Reach 3.6 Billion Yen

Japan Display Incorporated, or JDI, announced on the 10th that its net assets stood at 3.631 billion yen as of the end of June, resolving its negative net worth. The improvement came as capital was strengthened through the partial exercise of subscription rights to new shares by its top shareholder, investment fund Ichigo Trust. As of the end of March, net assets were negative 7.412 billion yen. If the negative net worth had not been resolved by the end of March 2027, the company would have risked violating the Tokyo Stock Exchange's continued listing criteria and facing delisting, but this resolution now paves the way for maintaining its listing.
