Its offerings include m3.com, a members-only site for medical information and tools; MR-kun, which delivers medical information for daily practice; QOL-kun, a marketing support service; m3.com CAREER, a physician recruitment and career-change site; and Drug Carrier, a job site for pharmacists. The company also provides online lectures, clinical trial and research services, survey panels, and platforms such as AskDoctors, MDLinx, and Doctors.net.uk. It is involved in sales and marketing for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, electronic medical records and equipment, clinical development support, management support for medical institutions, and operates podiatry and venous disease clinics and hospice facilities. Formerly known as So-netM3, Inc., it changed its name to M3, Inc. in January 2010 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Hong Kong Fund Oasis Management Holds 5.03% Stake in M3

It has been disclosed that Hong Kong investment fund Oasis Management holds a 5.03% stake in M3. According to a large shareholding report filed on the 10th, the reporting obligation arose on the 3rd. The stated purpose of the holding includes exchanging views with management on business strategy and, through the implementation of proposals, aiming to enhance M3's medium- to long-term corporate value and improve corporate governance.

M3 Shares Plunge as Q1 FY2027 Revenue Rises but Operating Profit Falls 8.6%

M3 shares tumbled to 1,530 yen on August 7, down 16.9 percent from the previous day. In its first-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2027, revenue rose 4.5 percent year-on-year to 90.1 billion yen, but operating profit fell 8.6 percent to 18 billion yen, and net profit dropped 21.8 percent to 10.5 billion yen, with profits declining across the board. The profit decline was driven by lower sales in the high-margin pharmaceutical marketing support business and increased upfront investment costs both domestically and overseas. Operating profit progress against the full-year plan was just under one-quarter in the first quarter, making a second-half recovery the key focus.
