Ruipu Bio's Two South Africa Type 1 Multivalent FMD Vaccines Approved for Production

Two multivalent foot-and-mouth disease inactivated vaccines containing South Africa Type 1 from Inner Mongolia Biwei Antai Biotechnology, a controlled subsidiary of Ruipu Bio, have been approved for production. The two vaccines are the bovine and ovine foot-and-mouth disease type O, type A, and South Africa Type 1 trivalent inactivated vaccine, known as Ruifeijing, and the porcine foot-and-mouth disease type O and South Africa Type 1 bivalent inactivated vaccine, known as Ruifeitai. The approval numbers are valid until July 19, 2028, precisely covering the three core livestock categories of pigs, cattle, and sheep. These two vaccines are the result of industry-academia-research collaboration between Ruipu Bio, the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the China Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center. Leveraging a five-stage purification process, the antigen purity can exceed 90 percent, offering the core advantage of one shot providing triple protection, reducing frequency and enhancing efficiency. They can simultaneously prevent multiple mainstream foot-and-mouth disease strains, greatly simplifying epidemic prevention procedures and lowering farming epidemic prevention costs.

Ruipu Bio Wins Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award

Ruipu Bio and its holding subsidiary Huanan Bio jointly participated in the project "Innovation of Avian Influenza Vaccines and Key Technologies and Applications for Source Prevention and Control," which won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The project was led by South China Agricultural University, in collaboration with universities, national research institutions, and enterprises to tackle core challenges in avian influenza source prevention and control in China. It successfully created multiple world-first vaccine products and the world's first all-avian-origin reverse genetics vaccine development platform, achieving independent original breakthroughs across the entire chain of recombinant avian influenza vaccines. As the core industrialization implementation entities of the project, Ruipu Bio and Huanan Bio were fully responsible for technology transfer, process implementation, and market promotion. They have launched multiple avian influenza vaccine series such as Qinyuan, Qindun, and Youjinkang, all of which have obtained complete veterinary drug registration qualifications, with core performance consistently leading the industry. The vaccine series have been widely adopted nationwide and partially exported overseas. Ruipu Bio stated that the next step will be to continue increasing investment in original technology research and development, focus on tackling leading-edge veterinary biological product technologies, and support the green and high-quality development of the domestic livestock and poultry farming industry.
