It also owns 100% interests in the Yarrabee mine, northeast of Blackwater in Central Queensland's Bowen Basin; Donaldson in the Hunter Valley; the Ashton mine in the Upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales; and the Stratford Duralie mine within the New South Wales Gloucester Basin. In addition, the company owns the Middlemount mine, northeast of Emerald in Queensland's Bowen Basin; Premier Coal in Collie, Western Australia; and Austar and Cameby Downs, along with other interests in New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia. Incorporated in 2004 and based in Sydney, Australia, Yancoal Australia Ltd is a subsidiary of Yankuang Energy Group Company Limited.

Yancoal Australia first-half after-tax profit falls 90% to 17 million Australian dollars

Yankuang Energy's controlling subsidiary Yancoal Australia released its half-year results, with after-tax profit of 17 million Australian dollars in the first half of 2026, down 90% year on year. Operating revenue for the period was 3.024 billion Australian dollars, down 13% year on year. As of 30 June 2026, Yancoal Australia's total assets reached 11.99 billion Australian dollars, with net assets of 9.021 billion Australian dollars.
