Fuji Pharma announced on the 17th that it has obtained manufacturing and marketing approval for the anti-hematologic malignancy agent Pomalidomide Capsules 1 mg, 2 mg, 3 mg, and 4 mg F. The originator product is Pomalyst Capsules, indicated for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Pomalidomide Capsules is the first generic version to receive approval, and the number of market entrants, including Fuji Pharma, will be two companies. The company already markets Filgrastim BS Injection Syringe F and Lenalidomide Capsules F in the hematology field, and aims to expand its hematology product lineup with this approval.
