Sec Carbon,Limited manufactures and sells graphite electrodes for steelmaking. Its products include SK-B graphitized cathode blocks for aluminum smelting, graphite electrodes used in electric arc furnaces, and carbon and graphite specialties for the chemical, electrochemistry, machine, and metallurgy industries. It also supplies fine powder used in applications such as automobile paint, sliding materials, metallurgical uses, and batteries, and conducts research and development related to molten salt electrolysis. Formerly known as SEC Corporation, the company changed its name to Sec Carbon,Limited in October 2006, was incorporated in 1934, and is headquartered in Amagasaki, Japan.
