Shanghai Electric Power first-half 2026 net profit 1.001 billion yuan

Shanghai Electric Power disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 29. In the first half, it achieved total operating revenue of 18.043 billion yuan, down 11.88 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company was 1.001 billion yuan, down 47.55 percent. Non-recurring net profit was 747 million yuan, down 59.50 percent. Net cash flow from operating activities was 5.156 billion yuan, down 16.15 percent. Basic earnings per share were 0.2866 yuan, and the weighted average return on equity was 3.93 percent, down 4.86 percentage points year on year. As of the end of the first half of 2026, the company's construction in progress increased 34.41 percent from the end of the previous year, long-term borrowings rose 11.01 percent, and the book value of inventory was 1.12 billion yuan.

Shanghai Electric Power's Binhai 2×1 Million Kilowatt Expansion Project Fully Completed and Put into Operation

Shanghai Electric Power announced that the Guodian Investment Binhai 2×1 million kilowatt expansion project, invested and constructed by its controlling subsidiary State Power Investment Group Jiangsu Electric Power Company Limited, has seen its Unit 6 successfully pass the 168-hour full-load trial run and officially enter operation. The project is located in the Binhai port area of Yancheng Port, Jiangsu Province, and planned to build two 1 million kilowatt ultra-supercritical secondary reheat clean and efficient coal-fired generating units, adopting deep peak-shaving technology and equipped with supporting environmental protection facilities. Unit 6, which entered operation this time, is the second unit. The first unit, Unit 5, was put into operation on July 12, 2026. With this, the project has been fully completed and put into operation, which is conducive to optimizing the structure of thermal power assets and enhancing core competitiveness.
