Origin Company, Limited manufactures and sells power supplies, semiconductor devices, precision machinery parts, system machinery, and synthetic resin paints in Japan. Its Electronics division offers backup power systems, inverters, and multi-output power supplies for applications such as dust collectors, medical diagnostic equipment, semiconductor and optical manufacturing equipment, communication equipment, and EV-related equipment. The Mechatronics division provides condenser type welding machines, fluxless vacuum reflow systems, liquid bonding systems, and precision liquid coating systems. The Chemitronics division offers paints for plastic substrates and plated nonferrous metals, while the Components division supplies precision machinery parts including one-way clutches, torque limiters, torque hinges, reverse input shutoff clutches, and bearings. The Power Devices division offers rectifying diodes, silicon surge clampers, Schottky barrier diodes, snubber modules, surge protector elements and varistors, and SiC Schottky barrier diodes/SiC MOSFETs. Formerly known as Origin Electric Co., Ltd., the company changed its name to Origin Company, Limited in April 2019. It was incorporated in 1938 and is headquartered in Saitama, Japan.
