The company was formerly known as Maxchip Electronics Corp and changed its name to Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation in September 2018. Incorporated in 2008, it is based in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, and is a subsidiary of Powerchip Technology Corporation.
