Nagoya Electric Works Swings to First-Quarter Operating Profit, Beating First-Half Forecast
Nagoya Electric Works announced on July 31 its consolidated results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company posted an operating profit of 28 million yen, swinging from a loss of 206 million yen in the same period a year earlier. This first-quarter profit already exceeds the first-half forecast for the April-to-September period, which projected a loss of 750 million yen. The operating margin improved sharply to negative 0.3 percent from negative 12.3 percent a year ago.
