Formerly known as Kojima Denki K.K., it changed its name to Kojima Co., Ltd. in January 1993. Founded in 1955 and headquartered in Utsunomiya, Japan, the company is a subsidiary of Bic Camera Inc.

Kojima announces expanded shareholder benefits and raised dividend forecast to 28 yen

Home electronics retailer Kojima announced on July 13, 2026, an expansion of its shareholder benefit program and a higher dividend forecast following a revision of its dividend policy. Benefits based on a record date at the end of August will be expanded, with shareholders holding 100 shares or more receiving the existing two vouchers plus additional vouchers as a long-term holding benefit: one voucher for holdings of at least one year but less than two years, and two vouchers for holdings of two years or more. The dividend policy has been changed to target a payout ratio of 40 percent, and the dividend forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 has been raised from the initial 22 yen to 28 yen. Cumulative sales for the first three quarters of the fiscal year ending August 2026 were 222.8 billion yen, up 6.0 percent year on year, while operating profit was 7.4 billion yen, up 34.1 percent, and the equity ratio stood at 55.5 percent.
