Albion Technology & General VCT PLC is a venture capital trust that focuses on early-stage and growth-stage investments. It prefers companies in health tech, digital risk, data and artificial intelligence, fintech, and information technology. It does not invest in property, shares and securities, banking, or agriculture. The fund aims to invest half of its assets in quoted global technology stocks and the remainder in unquoted UK non-technology companies. It targets 40% in unquoted UK technology companies and 60% in unquoted UK non-technology companies. Investments include shares or securities such as loans with a maturity of five years or more. A portfolio company's gross assets must not exceed £15 million ($17.39 million) immediately before investment and £16 million ($18.55 million) immediately after. The maximum a portfolio company can receive from state-aided risk capital schemes is £5 million ($5.80 million) in aggregate from all state-aided providers of risk capital, including VCTs, in the 12-month period up to and including the most recent such investment.
