AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. is a multi-faceted advanced aerospace and defense company operating in the United States, Europe, and internationally. It operates through four segments: Drones, Avionics, Training, and Electric Air Mobility. The Drones segment develops, manufactures, and sells drones, while the Avionics segment develops, manufactures, and sells avionics for military and general aviation aircraft, drones, and eVTOLs, including flight displays, connected panels, and GPS/GNSS sensors. The Training segment provides military pilot training, including adversary air, close air support, ISR, aircraft leasing, pilot training, ground liaison services, and JTAC, as well as full joint theatre ISR and simulated ground strike training and consulting services. The Electric Air Mobility segment develops a rotorcraft eVTOL for cargo applications through the Jaunt brand. The company was incorporated in 2021 and is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.

AIRO Q2 revenue jumps 76% on drone strength

AIRO Group Holdings reported second-quarter revenue of $43.2 million, up 76% year over year, driven by outperformance in its unmanned aircraft systems segment. Gross margin improved to 64% from 61% a year earlier, and the company swung to operating income of $1.7 million from a loss of $19.7 million. Drone backlog rose 9% sequentially to $163 million, and management reiterated full-year revenue growth guidance of 15% to 25%. The company also announced Blue UAS certification for its RQ-35 drone and unveiled the RQ-70 long-range ISR platform, with production expected to begin in January 2027.
