Applied Nutrition Expects Annual Earnings to Beat Market Forecasts
UK-based sports-nutrition business Applied Nutrition said today that its underlying annual earnings are set to come in above market expectations. In a trading update, the food-and-drinks group said its board expects adjusted EBITDA for the 2026 financial year to increase by 40% year-on-year to approximately £43.3m ($58.9m), excluding the impact of the Nutrablend Group acquisition. City analysts had forecast £42m, while the company also expects revenue to grow 50% to £160m, ahead of the £148.4m market forecast. For the year ending July 2027, the company projects adjusted EBITDA of about £49m and revenue of roughly £205m, both beating consensus. However, significantly higher whey protein costs are expected to hit margins, with the EBITDA margin for fiscal 2027 likely to decline slightly. The London-listed company, which sells over 120 products in more than 85 countries, will release full-year figures on or around 16 November.
