American Resources Corp's ReElement Technologies Corporation has hired seven professionals to strengthen operational leadership at its Marion, Indiana rare earth and critical mineral refining campus. The additions bring experience from the US Navy, large-scale continuous-process manufacturing, mining and process engineering, chemical engineering research, manufacturing workforce development and international commercial markets, the company said. Kirk Taylor, CFO of ReElement Technologies, said the group brings an exceptional combination of experience to ReElement. The hires follow the company's commissioning of its first commercial-scale germanium production column at Marion and its receipt of air permits for all four initial production lines planned for the facility.

ReElement Technologies Corporation, a rare earth element and critical mineral refining company majority-owned by American Resources Corp, has added 13 professionals to support the commissioning and scaling of its refining platform. The new hires span plant operations, engineering, maintenance, laboratory sciences, finance and process optimization, and are aimed at supporting commissioning of the company's refining campus in Marion, Indiana, as well as ReElement's strategy of expanding production capacity in line with commercial customer demand. Among the additions are Luis Garza, a maintenance manager with nearly 30 years of experience, Anastasiia Natova, who brings more than a decade of experience building industrial systems, Emma Kerr, an industrial engineer who delivered more than $1 million in continuous-improvement savings in a prior role, Silvia Vargas, whose research at Purdue University focused on separating and recovering rare earth elements, and Sara Tanner, a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt with more than eight years of public accounting experience.

ReElement Technologies, a minority-owned subsidiary of American Resources, has been awarded a $25 million investment from the US Department of War to expand domestic rare earth and critical mineral refining capacity. The funding, provided through the Industrial Base Fund, will support the expansion of ReElement's Marion, Indiana refining campus by financing additional refining equipment, production line installation and working capital. The investment is intended to accelerate commercial production of high-purity rare earth elements and other defense-critical minerals. The expanded facility will process both primary and recycled feedstocks, including end-of-life permanent magnets, to produce rare earth oxides and specialty critical minerals such as yttrium, gadolinium, germanium and gallium for defense, aerospace, semiconductors and advanced communications applications.

American Resources Corporation announced that its minority-held ReElement Technologies is targeting the start of commercial operations in the third quarter of 2026 for its rare earth and critical mineral refining campus in Marion, Indiana. The initial production line will process germanium and other strategic materials from recycled and primary feedstocks, with most major equipment already delivered or being installed. American Resources Corp provided an update on its Marion, Indiana critical minerals refining facility, targeting the launch of its first germanium production line in the third quarter of 2026. CEO Mark Jensen said the company is already producing germanium commercially at its Noblesville, Indiana facility and is now scaling operations through Marion, where four production lines are being developed to process multiple feedstocks. Jensen stated the company believes it could become the largest and potentially the only domestic producer of germanium in the United States. The Marion facility has undergone extensive renovation over three years and uses a simplified refining process designed to reduce costs, with existing contracts and discussions underway with defense contractors and Fortune 500 companies. The initial four lines occupy only a small portion of the available space, leaving room for future expansion into lithium carbonate and tungsten production in response to customer demand. Jensen noted the company can sometimes produce materials at less than one-seventh of prevailing market prices, a key advantage in a market dominated by Chinese refining capacity.

ReElement employs a proprietary modular refining platform using advanced chromatography and low-impact chemistry to separate and purify high-purity rare earth and critical mineral products from recycled and primary feedstocks. The company has resumed commercial production of germanium dioxide at its Noblesville, Indiana facility and is advancing production lines for specialty hard products recycling, mixed rare earth concentrate, and primary rare earth feedstock refining at its Marion, Indiana facility, with Phase 2 lines for tungsten and lithium also in development. CEO Mark Jensen said the refining-first model addresses a significant bottleneck in domestic critical mineral supply chains by providing commercially viable midstream refining capacity.
