BWG and AKP Join Forces to Destroy 2 Million Counterfeit Items Worth 2 Billion Baht
Better World Green Public Company Limited, or BWG, and Akkhie Prakarn Public Company Limited, or AKP, joined hands to support the government at the annual ceremony to destroy seized items in finalized intellectual property infringement cases for the year 2026, organized by the Department of Intellectual Property under the Ministry of Commerce together with the Royal Thai Police, the Customs Department, and the Department of Special Investigation. The event was held at the reserve training ground of the 1st Air Defense Artillery Battalion, 7th Regiment, Air Defense Command, Royal Thai Army, in Don Mueang District, Bangkok, with Dr. Piyanuch Wuttisorn, Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Commerce, presiding over the ceremony. The seized items destroyed this year totaled 2,085,705 pieces, representing economic damage of more than 2.145 billion baht, an increase of more than 36.45 percent from the previous year, covering consumer goods, clothing, bags, electronic devices, automotive parts, as well as sensitive product groups such as counterfeit drugs, medical supplies, and cosmetics. The group of companies was entrusted with responsibility for the entire disposal process under the ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standard system. General, non-hazardous seized goods will be sent to the renewable energy center at Nakhon Luang Industrial Estate in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province to be crushed and shredded, completely destroying their condition before being processed into industrial refuse-derived fuel, or RDF, to feed the power plant of Recovery House Company Limited, part of the Earth Tech Environment Public Company Limited group. Meanwhile, seized items in the chemical, drug, medical supply, and counterfeit cosmetics groups will be sent to the high-temperature incinerator industrial waste disposal management center of Akkhie Prakarn Public Company Limited at Bang Pu Industrial Estate in Samut Prakan Province, which uses specialized incinerator technology controlling temperatures above 1,000 to 1,200 degrees Celsius, along with air pollution treatment systems and a real-time air quality monitoring system, or CEMS, to ensure complete combustion with no residue, no odor, and no impact on the environment or surrounding communities.

BWG sells BWC shares to ETC for 330 million baht
Better World Green Public Company Limited (BWG) has approved the sale of all its shares in Better West Care Company Limited (BWC), totaling 2,998,800 shares or 99.96%, to Earth Tech Environment Public Company Limited (ETC) at a price of 110.04 baht per share, with a total value of approximately 330 million baht. ETC is a subsidiary in which BWG holds a total of 51.07% directly and indirectly through AKP. The purpose of this sale is to restructure investments and increase liquidity. BWC will remain a subsidiary of BWG through ETC's shareholding. The transaction is expected to be completed by October 2026.

BWG appeals partial shutdown order, stresses 29 years of good community coexistence
Better World Green Public Company Limited, or BWG, has appealed an order from the Department of Industrial Works to partially suspend operations, pointing out that the order may have resulted from unnatural public pressure that does not align with the facts. On the occasion of its 29th anniversary, BWG reaffirmed its role as a legal industrial waste manager operating under a licensing system and state supervision, while enhancing transparency and accountability. The company continues to hold a corporate credit rating of BBB with a stable outlook from TRIS Rating. BWG stated that the incident began with a drone clip posted online after heavy rain caused sediment in front of a weir, which was then amplified by online pages and certain politicians without ever requesting information or conducting an on-site inspection of the company.
BWG joins hands with Prasat Thong Municipality to launch Send Waste Home project
Better World Green Public Company Limited, or BWG, signed a memorandum of understanding with Prasat Thong Subdistrict Municipality to launch the Send Waste Home project on June 30, 2026, aiming for comprehensive orphan waste management based on circular economy principles. Mr. Chaiyapruek Thongpiam, manager of the renewable energy center from BWG, and Mr. Yutthana Konthong, mayor of Prasat Thong Subdistrict Municipality, jointly announced their intention to transform community waste management, focusing on reducing landfill and recovering resource value. BWG will provide knowledge, technology, and experience to enhance waste management efficiency, with the goal of becoming a model for private-local cooperation in driving environmental policy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
