Chemring Group Reports Record £1.4 Billion Order Book and 7% Revenue Growth

Chemring Group PLC reported a record order book of £1.4 billion, up 8%, and a 7% increase in revenue for the first half of fiscal 2026. Operating profit in the Countermeasures & Energetics segment rose 32%, with its operating margin reaching 18.4%, though overall operating profit and margin declined year-on-year, weighing on earnings per share. Cash conversion was 42% in the first half but is expected to improve to 80%–85% for the full year, while net debt stood at £145 million, or 1.5 times leverage. The company declared an interim dividend of 2.8 pence, a 4% increase, and returned £19 million to shareholders through £14 million in dividends and £5 million in buybacks.
