Core Molding Technologies Q2 Sales Dip 1.2% as Truck Weakness Offsets Growth

Core Molding Technologies reported fiscal 2026 second-quarter production sales fell 1.2% year over year, as a 23% decline in truck-related sales offset strong growth in building products and powersports. Management reiterated its full-year sales outlook of flat to approximately 5% growth and expects truck sales to improve in the second half. Gross margin improved to 20.3%, while adjusted EBITDA margin held at 12.2% despite truck-market weakness. The company secured nearly $26 million in net new business wins in the first half, keeping it on track for its $50 million annual target, and said awards secured over the past 24 months could generate more than $300 million in production revenue opportunities by 2027.
