Its product portfolio includes the Cytek Aurora, Northern Lights, and Aurora Evo systems, the Aurora CS System, Amnis ImageStream imaging flow cytometers, Guava Muse cell analyzers, Guava EasyCyte flow cytometers, and Orion reagent cocktail preparation systems. The company also offers cFluor reagents, automated micro-sampling and sample loader systems, and SpectroFlo software. It serves pharmaceutical and biopharma companies, academic research centers, and contract research organizations through direct sales and distributors. Formerly known as Cytoville, Inc., it changed its name to Cytek Biosciences, Inc. in August 2015 and is headquartered in Fremont, California.

Cytek Biosciences Q2 revenue misses estimates, GAAP EPS in-line

Cytek Biosciences reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $48.1 million, a 5.5% year-over-year increase that missed analyst estimates by $0.51 million, while GAAP earnings per share of negative $0.09 came in-line with expectations. GAAP gross profit rose 19% to $28.3 million, with a gross margin of 59% compared to 52% a year ago, though excluding a one-time tariff refund the GAAP gross margin was 53%. Operating expenses increased 15% to $39.7 million, driven by higher research and development, sales and marketing, and general and administrative costs, resulting in a net loss of $12.2 million versus a net loss of $5.6 million in the prior-year quarter. The company updated its full-year 2026 revenue outlook to a range of $207 million to $212 million, raising the midpoint by $1 million. Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities stood at $262.0 million as of June 30, 2026.

Cytek Biosciences Opens New Innovation Centre in Bellevue

Cytek Biosciences has opened a new innovation centre in Bellevue, Washington, relocating its previous Seattle-area operations to a dedicated R&D facility. The renovated site includes R&D laboratories, instrument service training, customer demonstrations, and assembly and testing operations. CEO Wenbin Jiang said the centre strengthens the company's ability to develop and deliver new technologies. Cytek stock closed Wednesday at $4.65, up 0.65%, and rose a further 3.01% in after-hours trading to $4.79.
