AMCON Distributing Company is a wholesale distributor of consumer products in the Central, Rocky Mountain, and Mid-South regions of the United States. It operates through two segments: Wholesale Distribution and Retail Health Food. The Wholesale Distribution segment supplies convenience stores, grocery and drug stores, gas stations, restaurants, schools, and other institutions with cigarettes, tobacco, candy, beverages, groceries, paper products, health and beauty care items, frozen and refrigerated products, and foodservice products, and also markets private label water, candy, and batteries. The Retail Health Food segment sells natural, organic, and specialty foods, including produce, baked goods, frozen foods, nutritional supplements, and personal care items, through retail stores under the Chamberlin's Natural Foods, Akin's Natural Foods, and Earth Origins Market brands. Incorporated in 1986, the company is based in Omaha, Nebraska.

AMCON Distributing Q3 Earnings Surge to $2.85 Per Share

AMCON Distributing Company reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings per share of $2.85, more than doubling from $1.42 in the prior-year quarter. Sales rose 12.9% to $835.3 million, driven by its wholesale distribution segment which generated $824.7 million in revenues and $9.2 million in operating income. Net income available to common shareholders increased to $2.7 million from $1.3 million, while operating income climbed 28.5% to $6.3 million. A $1.8 million gain on real estate sales contributed to the operating income improvement. Chairman and CEO Christopher H. Atayan noted the company is benefiting from its customer-service focus and continues to seek strategic acquisitions in convenience and foodservice distribution.
