First Mid Bancshares Shows Potential Dividend Run Ahead of August Ex-Date

First Mid Bancshares Inc is approaching its next quarterly dividend of 0.26 per share, with an ex-dividend date of August 18, 2026, triggering a potential Dividend Run alert from DividendChannel.com. The concept of a Dividend Run suggests that a stock may experience upward price pressure in the weeks leading up to an ex-dividend date, as buyers are willing to pay more to capture the upcoming payout. Looking at the last four dividends paid by FMBH, a strategy of buying two weeks before the ex-date and selling one day prior would have resulted in capital gains exceeding the dividend amount each time, with a total run gain of 4.46 compared to total dividends of 1.00. For instance, ahead of the May 15, 2026 ex-dividend of 0.25, the stock rose from 42.09 to 42.44 over the final two-week period. The upcoming dividend implies an annualized yield of 2.00%.
