GCT Semiconductor expects second-half 2026 5G chipset shipments to surpass first half

GCT Semiconductor expects its 5G chipset shipments in the second half of 2026 to exceed first-half levels as commercialization progresses. The company shipped more than 5,100 5G chipsets in the second quarter, representing approximately 71% sequential growth, and has secured required production capacity through the first quarter of 2027. Second-quarter net revenues fell 18% to $1 million, while net loss widened to $20.4 million, partly due to a $12.3 million loss from changes in warrant liabilities. Management cited customer deployment delays as a drag on near-term revenue but highlighted a new UAV and defense-related customer win and a pipeline spanning terrestrial broadband, satellite, and industrial IoT.
