Its products include raw and processed nuts such as almonds, pecans, peanuts, walnuts, cashews, macadamia nuts, pistachios, pine nuts, and filberts, as well as bar products, peanut butter, salad toppings, dried fruit and chocolate, yogurt-coated products, recipe ingredients, bulk foods, sunflower kernels, pepitas, snack mixes, almond and cashew butter, candy, corn snacks, chickpea snacks, sesame sticks, and ice cream and yogurt toppings. The company also operates a retail store. It sells under the Fisher, Orchard Valley Harvest, Squirrel Brand, and Southern Style Nuts brands, as well as private brands, serving retailers, wholesalers, and commercial ingredient and contract packaging customers through a network of independent brokers, distributors, and suppliers. Founded in 1922, the company is headquartered in Elgin, Illinois.

JBSS sees over $300M growth from new bar lines by Q2 FY2027

John B. Sanfilippo & Son outlined a more than $300 million growth opportunity from new high-speed bar lines at its Elgin facility, expected to be fully operational by the second quarter of fiscal 2027. CEO Jeffrey Sanfilippo said fiscal 2026 net sales reached a record $1.2 billion, with diluted earnings per share up 4.6% for the full year, while Q4 gross profit fell 9.5% to $44.1 million due to higher input and transportation costs, manufacturing inefficiencies, and $2.7 million of recall-related costs. The company increased its annual dividend by 5.6% to $0.95 per share and declared a special dividend of $1.05 per share, both payable September 9, 2026. Jeffrey Sanfilippo will step down as CEO in October to become Executive Chairman, with his brother Jasper Sanfilippo succeeding him as CEO.

For the full year, net sales increased $68.4 million, or 6.2%, to $1.18 billion, sales volume decreased 9.0 million pounds, or 2.5%, to 349.3 million pounds, gross profit increased 3.8% to $211.2 million, and diluted EPS increased 4.6% to $5.26 per share. Shares fell 2.60% following the results.
