John Marshall Bancorp, Inc. is the bank holding company for John Marshall Bank, providing banking products and financial services in Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Montgomery, and the District of Columbia. It offers deposit accounts such as checking, NOW, money market, savings, and certificates of deposit, as well as IntraFi Demand, IntraFi Money Market, and IntraFi CD deposits. Lending includes commercial real estate, construction and development, commercial and industrial, residential mortgage, and small business administration loans, along with commercial term loans and lines of credit. Additional services include debit and credit cards, treasury and cash management, insurance, online and mobile banking, and investment securities. The company serves small to medium-sized businesses, their owners and employees, professional corporations, non-profits, and individuals. It was formerly known as John Marshall Bank and changed its name to John Marshall Bancorp, Inc. in March 2017. Founded in 2005, it is headquartered in Reston, Virginia.

John Marshall Bancorp to Merge with Eagle Financial in $253m All-Stock Deal

John Marshall Bancorp has agreed to an all-stock merger with Eagle Financial Services, the parent of Bank of Clarke, in a deal valued at approximately $253 million. Based on John Marshall's closing share price of $23.36 on September 4, 2026, the transaction implies a value of $46.72 for each Eagle Financial Services common share. Upon completion, the combined company will have $4.4 billion in assets and 23 banking offices, with a network extending from the Shenandoah Valley across Northern Virginia into Montgomery County, Maryland. The parent company will retain the name John Marshall Bancorp and be based in Reston, Virginia, while its banking unit will be headquartered in Berryville, Virginia, and shares will continue trading on Nasdaq under the symbol JMSB. The boards of both companies will each have six directors on the combined board, and the deal is expected to close in early Q1 2027, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.

John Marshall Bancorp Extends Stock Repurchase Program Through August 2027

John Marshall Bancorp, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the extension of its stock repurchase program through August 31, 2027. The program, originally approved in 2021 and set to expire on August 31, 2026, allows the company to purchase up to 700,000 shares of its outstanding common stock. To date, the company has repurchased 242,150 shares, or $4.5 million, under the program. No other changes were made to the program, which may be suspended, terminated, amended, or modified by the Board at any time without prior notice. Repurchases are expected to be funded using cash on hand and cash from operations of John Marshall Bank.
