MITSIB expects second-half 2026 performance to exceed targets, riding solar rooftop boom
MITSIB projects that its 2026 operating results have a chance to grow above target, with the second half in particular expanding significantly thanks to the solar rooftop and electric vehicle trend. Deputy Managing Director Natcha Yongsanguanchai revealed that solar rooftop loans will exceed their target after adding new dealers and partners, with retail customers accounting for more than 60% of the solar rooftop portfolio, mostly installing 5–10 kilowatt systems. Meanwhile, demand for electric taxi and minibus loans is also high. The company is seeking additional partners to serve the market and is also discussing the possibility of bringing electric minibuses to market in the future.
