M-tron Industries announced on Tuesday that it received a $4.5 million order from a top U.S. defense prime contractor for a major air defense program. The two-year contract covers high-performance RF filters and represents a 50% increase in annual volume compared with previous 12-month orders for the program. The program is expected to remain in production beyond 2030, while the company will perform the work in Orlando, Florida, through 2028. CEO Cameron Pforr said the award reflects the confidence of major defense contractors in M-tron's ability to supply mission-critical RF components at scale.

M-tron Industries has secured $4 million in production contracts from a US Department of Defense contractor to support a next-generation electronic warfare system. M-Tron Industries has more than doubled year to date in 2026, crushing the S&P 500, as the small-cap radio-frequency component maker benefits from growing demand in artificial intelligence and space exploration. The company recently secured a $6.8 million follow-on order for counter-drone radar programs, and its first-quarter sales rose 15.3% year over year with a 38.4% jump in backlog. M-Tron Industries' components can improve AI data center efficiency and speed data transfer between chips, while Nvidia's push into AI radio access networks and the expanding space economy—highlighted by SpaceX's record-breaking IPO above a $2 trillion market cap—present additional long-term opportunities. The company already holds more than 150 design wins on satellite platforms and manned spacecraft, positioning it to capitalize on potential constellations of AI data center satellites.
