M6 Group reports H1 2026 revenue up 1.8% to €643.8 million, boosted by FIFA World Cup broadcast

M6 Group reported consolidated revenue of €643.8 million for the first half of 2026, a 1.8% increase from the same period last year, driven by its broadcast of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The World Cup helped M6 become the top national channel in France for the first time in its history from June 11 to July 19, reaching 94% of the French population and attracting over 300 brands for advertising. Group advertising revenue was nearly flat at €520.4 million, while non-advertising revenue rose 9.6% to €123.3 million, reflecting strong World Cup-related performance. Profit from recurring operations (EBITA) fell 48.7% to €54.4 million, as higher programming costs from the World Cup and a challenging advertising market weighed on margins. The company confirmed its streaming targets, including over €200 million in streaming revenue by 2028, and plans to launch new programmes in the autumn to sustain audience momentum.

M6 and Stéphane Plaza split real estate networks into independent companies

M6 Metropole Television and Stéphane Plaza have decided to separate the Stéphane Plaza Immobilier and Sixième Avenue real estate networks into two independent companies after 12 years of collaboration. Following the transaction, expected to close in July, Stéphane Plaza will own 100% of the Stéphane Plaza Immobilier network, while M6 will increase its stake in Sixième Avenue to 68%, alongside the two co-founders. The separation is structured as a partial spin-off and aims to give each network its own governance, identity, and growth strategy. Stéphane Plaza Immobilier will continue under Stéphane Plaza's leadership, focusing on client relationships and innovation, while Sixième Avenue, led by president Gilles Charron and backed by M6, will pursue an expanded real estate vision. The proposed spin-off will be submitted to a shareholder vote at a general meeting scheduled for late July 2026.
