Broker cuts ONEE to 'Sell' with target price of 2.40 baht after H2 profit shows signs of stumbling

Dao Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited has downgraded its recommendation on ONEE to 'Sell' from 'Hold' and cut its target price to 2.40 baht from 3 baht, based on a P/E of 16 times. This is due to expectations that second-half 2026 profit will slow from the same period last year, following a decline in the gross margin of the content marketing business from higher production costs. Meanwhile, the broker has cut its net profit forecasts for 2026-2027 by 42% and 29%, respectively, expecting 2026 net profit of 259 million baht, down 42%, and 2027 net profit of 351 million baht, up 35%. It views the share price as lacking short-term catalysts from TV advertising spending, which remains on a downward trend.

ONEE Sets 2026 Revenue Growth Target of 10-20%, but GPM Below Expectations

Kasikorn Securities noted that The One Enterprise Public Company Limited (ONEE) is in the process of building new growth drivers. After the analyst meeting on August 28, the atmosphere was slightly negative due to weaker revenue from the Content Marketing business and lower-than-expected gross profit margin. The company targets 2026 revenue growth of 10-20% and a GPM range of 30% ±1-2%, which is lower than Kasikorn Securities' previous estimate of 35%. The Idol Marketing business is expected to continue growing in the second half of 2026, driven by increasing artist popularity and the expansion of merchandise stores in Tokyo and Taipei. However, Content Marketing revenue remains under pressure despite two major series scheduled to air. Kasikorn Securities has cut its normal profit estimates for 2026-2028 by 16%, 21%, and 20%, respectively, and maintains a "Hold" recommendation while lowering its end-2027 target price by 10% to 3.15 baht. The brokerage expects normal profit to decline continuously throughout 2026 before hitting a trough, and will be supported by rising SVOD revenue and growth in the Idol Marketing business.

ONEE targets double-digit revenue growth in 2026, banks on Idol Marketing to offset ad slowdown

The One Enterprise Public Company Limited, or ONEE, has announced its revenue target for 2026, aiming for double-digit growth. The company is highlighting its Idol Marketing Ecosystem business as a key mechanism to generate profits and compensate for the slowdown in advertising spending. It is also investing approximately 100 million baht to develop the OneD application to drive long-term growth. Mr. Naranj Pumsiri, Group Chief Financial Officer, stated that the second half of the year is expected to see better growth than the first half, driven by seasonal factors and the strong momentum of the Idol Marketing business. Recently, the company launched GEMM House, a character café, to create a meeting point for fans. Meanwhile, the Content Marketing business continues to face pressure from economic conditions that have kept advertising spending flat or slowing down, necessitating cost control and revenue generation from other businesses to compensate. The gross profit margin for the Content Marketing group is trending down from its previous high of 40-50%, but the Idol Marketing business has a strong gross profit margin and is beginning to significantly offset the lost advertising revenue. Regarding digital television licenses that will gradually expire in 2028-2029, the company is preparing to become a full-fledged content provider and build an ecosystem on OneD to retain its viewer base. In the second quarter of 2026, the company reported total operating revenue of 2,247.51 million baht, up 26.27% year-on-year, with Idol Marketing revenue accounting for 63% of total revenue. Net profit stood at 67.88 million baht, down 21.62% due to higher cost of sales and SG&A expenses.

BEC recorded operating revenue of 877 million baht, down 154.5 million baht, or 15 percent, from the same period last year, as advertising airtime revenue contracted 21.9 percent amid geopolitical tensions that raised energy and production costs, prompting advertisers to curb spending.
