It operates through three segments: RNG Fuel, Fuel Station Services, and Renewable Power. The company also designs, develops, constructs, operates, and services natural gas fueling stations for trucking fleets, and is involved in the design, development, and construction of hydrogen fueling stations. In addition, it generates and sells renewable power to utilities and environmental attributes associated with RNG and renewable power, and sells RNG as pipeline-quality natural gas. Founded in 1998, OPAL Fuels Inc. is headquartered in White Plains, New York.

OPAL Fuels Q2 2026 Adjusted EBITDA Rises 40% to $23.1 Million

OPAL Fuels Inc. reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted EBITDA of $23.1 million, a 40% increase from the prior-year period, driven by Section 45Z production tax credits, growth in the Fuel Station Services segment, and administrative cost savings. Total revenue grew 4% to $83.4 million, while the company posted a net loss of $4.1 million compared to net income of $7.6 million a year earlier. RNG production rose 8% to 1.3 million MMBtus, though management noted output was modestly below expectations, and the company maintained its full-year 2026 guidance. Liquidity stood at $162.2 million, including $91.4 million in cash, and capital expenditures totaled $52.7 million in the first half, focused on RNG projects and fueling stations.
